Infrared Saunas differ from conventional saunas because they use the same type of “radiant” energy the sun produces. It is NOT ultraviolet radiation, but the positives of the sun without the dangerous effects of solar radiation. It is the wavelength that allows plants to make energy. Far infrared light waves travel up to 3” into the body to increase blood flow and regenerate damaged tissues as well as activate immune cells.
Research shows that just a 2% increase in body temperature results in a 40% increase in immunity. Conventional saunas only heat the surface of the skin and remove only 3% of the toxins while a far infrared sauna removes 17% of our body’s toxins. Far infrared saunas are more comfortable due to the lower temperatures of 130-140 degrees compared to the 180-220 degrees of a conventional sauna.
